The Eclipse of the Misanthropocene Epoch

People hate other people to death. — Misanthropy appears epidemic among our political, religious, and corporate leaders, the groups they lead, and their propagandists. This is the long-term trend since the very beginnings of civilization. It all began with the rise of authoritarian autonomists, a functional description of violent narcissists. This is the filter. Go to college, get educated, get more pay, and become more liberal. I’m a progressive liberal and even I see this as a problem. Now notice how things turned out. Fewer…

After 4 Decades of Betrayal, Employers are Starting to Relent on College Degrees

It's not just any college or any degree.

It's not just any college or any degree. To be allowed into the club it must be the "right" degree from the "right" college. I feel strongly that college helped me greatly with organizing and clarifying my thoughts but did nothing about making me more employable. It seems to me that improving one's ability to think is wholesale marginalized relative to economic success. The heavily financialized late-stage capitalism only appears to reward who are willing to think in its own narrow terms.

Alfred Habdank Skarbek Korzybski was a Polish-American independent scholar who developed a field called general semantics, which he viewed as both distinct from, and more encompassing than, the field of semantics. Korzybski's most famous premise, "the map is not the territory". He thought that certain uses of the verb "to…

IMHO things been crazy for a while now. Some saw it coming and warned us, too few listened, and now it's here. Some now see the future, few listen still. "The time of hypersubjects is ending. Their desert-apocalypse-fire-and-death cults aren’t going to save them this time. Meanwhile the time of…

IMHO, the greatest service OONA & Lori Baldwin provide is fore fronting the dysfunction of normal. Not only culturally, but as a species, we appear stuck in a bad space until that is confronted and remedied. In psychology alone, this is identified by Gustave Le Bon and Sigmund Freud. This is at the very beginning of psychology. The issue appears much earlier in religion and philosophy. IMHO there is nothing more important to examine.

"A cargo cult is an indigenist millenarian belief system, in which adherents perform rituals which they believe will cause a more technologically advanced society to deliver goods." - Wikipedia You can see this activity today in the form of pseudoscience, ritual inclusion of computer codes that serve no purpose, and prosperity theology.

I'm disappointed that your article lacked a balanced perspective that would require including bosonic string theory supersymmetry in 26 dimensions. as theorized by Claud Lovelace. I'm aware of the previous article written by Paul Halpern, Professor of Physics at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, PA. you published here about Lovelace relaxing the assumption that strings lived in a four-dimensional world.

Since the only action I expect to see is the ultra-wealthy constructing better bunkers, hoarding more resources, and increasing the militarization of their security, the slide into oblivion will predictably only accelerate. It's a statistical inevitability.
